Today we are going to create some outstanding images taken in the future. The emphasis in these images is on the surrounding architecture.
Looking into the future
Human beings have always possessed a deep-seated desire to look into the future. This fascination with what lies ahead can be attributed to several factors including curiosity, hope and aspiration, survival and security, progress and advancement, and control and preparedness. Traditional methods of ‘seeing’ include astrology and Tarot reading, but there have been some odd methods.
Nostradamus, a French astrologer and physician who lived in the 16th century, is known for his prophecies and writings that have been interpreted as predicting future events. His method of seeing into the future was primarily through a form of scrying, specifically by gazing into a bowl of water or a "magic mirror."
Nostradamus would enter a meditative state and focus his gaze on the water or mirror, allowing his mind to wander and receive visions or symbolic images. He claimed that these visions provided him with glimpses of future events and allowed him to compose his famous quatrains, which are poetic verses containing cryptic and metaphorical language.
Staring into water or a mirror (Catoptromancy) are not the only quirky ways of seeing:
Molybdomancy: This practice involves melting lead and pouring it into cold water. The resulting shapes are then interpreted to reveal insights about the future.
Toast Reading: Some individuals claim to be able to discern future events by interpreting the patterns and shapes that appear on a piece of toast when it's toasted.
Egg White Divination: In this method, egg whites are dropped into a glass of water, and the resulting shapes and patterns are observed and interpreted as signs or omens.
Bibliomancy: This involves randomly selecting a passage from a book, often a religious or sacred text, and interpreting it as guidance or a prediction for the future.
Ceroscopy: This practice involves observing the behavior of wax as it melts, either by burning a candle or melting wax on a heated surface, and interpreting the shapes and patterns formed.
Shinseki: Popularized in Japan, shinseki involves interpreting the cracks that form in oracle bones or turtle shells when they are heated, providing glimpses into the future.
Fortunately, all we need to see into the future is Midjourney.
