Did you know that the human skeleton is made up of 206 bones? That's about 15% of your body weight! Interestingly, newborn babies are actually born with more bones than this, around 300, but many bones grow together or fuse as babies become older.
One strange fact about skeletons is that only one bone is not connected to another bone - the hyoid bone. This U-shaped bone sits at the base of the tongue and is held in place by muscles and ligaments from the base of the skull and jaw bones.
